Sta­bat Mater in motion is ded­i­cat­ed to the per­for­mance of Per­gole­si’s Sta­bat Mater for two voic­es and a dancer, musi­cal­ly arranged for piano and elec­tron­ic sounds and per­formed in an inti­mate set­ting.
Although death and mourn­ing are often ignored in mod­ern soci­ety, the con­fronta­tion remains unavoid­able. We have the abil­i­ty to catch each oth­er. In a dia­log between song, dance and music, the per­for­mance aims to encour­age mutu­al care.

*3k is a Brix­en-based col­lec­tive found­ed by Mari­ka Rain­er (vocals), Sab­ri­na Fra­ter­nali (dance) and Michèle Schlade­bach (piano and com­po­si­tion) that com­bines the three arts in joint per­for­mances with a holis­tic approach.
